Best Christmas Present Ever!!

This Christmas was the best Christmas Courtney and I have had in our lives!! We received the blessing of a new son! It was so much fun bringing Jace down stairs to see all the Christmas decorations so he could experience the joys of Christmas morning. Courtney and I opened our presents on Christmas morning, but our real present came on the 23rd and the rest of the presents were just the icing on a beautiful cake. It was so much fun seeing Courtney walk down the stairs holding Jace and seeing her face light up as she turned her head towards the tree to see huge presents wrapped under the tree. To her disappointment, the big presents under the tree were just filled with pillows and blankets I had stuffed in the huge boxes with random presents in it such as gift cards, earrings and a necklace. The big boxes I had wrapped up were just my decoy to give a great impression. Even though Courtney's pile was three times as big as mine, I was the one who was shocked given a fantastic present! Courtney had bought me a laptop! This is going to work out great since this semester I will be taking 18 credits at UNLV and trying to provide and entertain my son and wife. It will make it extremely easier to update our blog and I am finally figuring out how facebook works, sort of.
As Courtney and I were waiting PATIENTLY for Jace to arrive, we were positive that time had started ticking twice as slow. The final week leading up to Jace's birth seemed like an eternity. This made me think about the time of season we are in as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Since the time of Adam, Heaven Father's children have been told and promised that a certain Savior would come into this world to redeem us from this world and save us from our sins. After experiencing the difficulty of waiting for my son to be born, I can only begin to imagine how those living in the time of Christ's birth felt, waiting for our Redeemer to come into this world. I am eternally grateful to my Father in Heaven for this tremendous priviledge and blessing Courtney and I have to be parents and to be part of this wonderful plan of happiness. Merry Christmas!

The Best Christmas Ever!!!

We were good this year! Santa came to our house!!!

Jace Keolamaikalani Noa

Dad and Jace are having their first conversation. Jace was very alert!
The first mother and son bonding. Job well done Courtney!

Our new family!

On December 23, 2010 at 1:55 pm Courtney's and my life changed dramatically for the best as we welcomed our wonderful baby boy, Jace. Courtney's due date was for the 20th of December but her body was not ready for Jace to come. We were fortunate enough to schedule an appointment for Courtney to get induced, or seduced (according to Scotty). We went into the hospital on December 22 at 10:00 pm were Courtney got set up and ready to get Jace into this world. It was a long 15 hours of labor for Courtney but she did a fabulous job at staying calm and being a champ as she delivered Jace. As we were in the delivery room we were overjoyed at the presence of our new addition to our family. Jace was 7 lbs 3 oz and 20 1/2 inches, not nearly as big as Courtney and I were expecting he would be. I was a 10 pound baby and the ultrasound doctor was telling us to expect a 8 1/2 pounder. Courtney was a little worried but she did a great job at staying calm and relaxed. From the way Courtney handled her pregnancy, it was not a surprise when she went through the labor like a champ!

We were blessed even more to have both our parents and family members present to help us welcome in Jace. It is extremely wonderful to have both our families here in Vegas for the help and support, but also for the love they give to us and our son Jace. I should also mention how nice it is to have meals brought over by them too! Thank you!

As we start this new chapter in our lives, we are looking forward to the new trials and challenges we will be faced with, but we are especially looking forward to the many smiles, laughters and heaven sent moments we will have with our son, Jace.

The Final Countdown!

We are T minus 4 days from having our first baby! And it's going to be a boy! Jace is looking strong and healthy and is suppose to be about 8 lbs 5 oz. We have been extremely excited getting Jace's room ready with buying his crib, dresser, and clothes. We also have been washing all his cute little clothes! This kid almost has as many outfits as Courtney!! Courtney has been doing a fabulous job during the pregnancy. She hardly ever complains about being uncomfortable or being in pain, eventhough these past couple of days I can tell it has been hard for her to get out of bed in the morning. But she is being a champ and doing great! During the summer I tore out the closet that was in Jace's room and built him some shelves for his toys and games. Although it may not look like much, it took a lot more time and effort than I originally had planned. We are extremely excited for our new arrival in our family and we hope and pray he will be just as excited to be in our family!

Late night

So I am just hanging here at home waiting for Jared to come home from school and thought I might as well write something here (This is for you Steph since you keep asking). First, I am so excited that in less than a month the show Glee starts again! I have missed it so much. If you aren't all watching it now, you should start. Also, I have to say that I am really mad at all the American Idol fans right now. How come they aren't voting for the right people. Paige and Tim aren't as good as Lilly and Lacy are so how come the the bad are still on and the good have been kicked off. Seriously, get it together fans and start voting for the good people! I also thought I should let everone know that the best part of the year is coming up! NBA is getting to the best part of the season, baseball season is starting, and the weather is just at the right temperature. Not too hot, and not too cold. I hope you all enjoy this time of year as much as Jared and I do!Anyways, I sure hope Jared comes home soon because I am going crazy not having someone to talk with. It's nice to have alone time, but I have had too much time today. Oh... I think I hear the garage door opening. Goodbye everyone!

Work

Work is just ongoing! I get up early and go to work, I come home and do house work, I then do some homerwork, and then I get to bed so I can be ready to go in the morning for WORK! I am not complaining that I have work, don't get me wrong, I love it. I just wish that sometimes the house work and homework would let up a little bit. They seem to be punishing me! I love how in the Incredible's movie at the beginning when Mr. Incredible is doing the interview and he says... I feel like the maid; I just cleaned up this mess! Can we keep it clean for... for ten minutes!.... Can the dust stay away from my counters and bath tub for 10 minutes, can my teachers decide that doing 30 different work assignments is enough for a week? Please, oh please. One day....

Cautionary Tale

Did you know that it is possible to stick a head or leg between the stair rails and not be able to get it out? It was probably 6 months after moving into our house that I got my knee caught in the stairs. And while I am calling for help Jared is staring at me and just keeps saying, "Are you serious?...Are you serious?" Finally he believes that I am truly stuck and helps free me from the evil stairs. So be careful not to stick anything between the stairs, because you may not be able to get it out.
